Why get online?
A total of 7 million jobs were posted online last year, 90 per cent of which required basic internet skills. More than half of all leisure travel is also now booked online.Despite this, more than 9 million people in the UK are still not using computers and the internet at all. As a result, they are potentially missing out on the benefits, convenience and savings that computers and internet can provide. What's more, the problem is worst for those already at a disadvantage. If you're older, disabled, or on a low income, you're far more likely to be offline.
Supported Learning Solutions provide inexpensive (sometimes free) computer training courses that are aimed at people living in Oldham and the Tameside area. They are designed to be informative, helpful, comprehensive and inclusive. So if you live in the Oldham area and you need IT or other training to help your find your next job, or help with CV writing or you need to improve your skills in other areas such as food hygiene or social care training, Supported Learning Solutions can help you.
